Lampard will be the captain in a friendly against Spain

Frank Lampard will be chosen by Fabio Capello as the England captain to face Spain in a friendly on Saturday. The information is from The Daily Telegraph.

Lampard should get the armband as the usual captain John Terry will be in the bank and other veteran players like Wayne Rooney, Steven Gerrard and Rio Ferdinand were left out of the call.

The absence of Terry may be linked to investigations regarding allegations of racism against Anton Ferdinand during a recent game against QPR from Chelsea, but Capello would be willing to put it on the field against Sweden, next Tuesday.

If you really get Lampard as captain on Saturday, confirm their recovery, since only weeks ago was no longer regarded as an absolute owner, both in Chelsea and in the selection.

Chelsea's partner, Daniel Sturridge, and Everton midfielder Jack Rodwell, should make their debuts for the senior national team, while Capello is testing the team preparing for Euro 2012.
